When LED will replace the Light Bulbs?
-->This is the very important question for this current situation because most of the country is having shortage of resources. So every country is searching for the alternative sources to save the money. What is LED? It is nothing but the light emitting diode, a diode emits the light with the use of semi conductor. This is definitely true in future because lot of research is going on LED. Many university and lot of professor are involved in the research; as a result of the research light emitting diode is very efficient than the ordinary light.
Role of LED:
Light emitting diode is very energy efficient, this device only use their energy up to seventy percentage for converting it to light and twenty percentage is expelled out and remaining ten percentage is delivered to the semiconductor device due to more refractive property. Most of the well-developed cities are replacing the ordinary lights with the light emitting diode.
How it is efficient:
Finally researchers find out the efficiency of the light emitting diode by conducting one experiment, which is very simple. Making lot of prototype of the light emitting diode does this experiment; prototype means the model of the LED. The size of the prototype is very small it is in the range of nm. After making the prototypes makes many holes in the surface of the light emitting diode the depth of the hole is about less than 100 nm. The LED chip is placed above the holes to check whether it is able to produce bright light than the ordinary light. By doing this experiment, only eighty percentage of the energy is needed to attain the bright light. When LED will replace the Light Bulbs? Yes it is true definitely light emitting diode replace the ordinary light in the future.
How to produce LED:
Using the latest technology we can produce the LED in thirty minutes. This is done by with the help of electron beam. But in the practical cases it is very lesser production rate so due to that recent technology is adapted to produce this component. The recent technology is nothing but the lithography technology. The ultra violet ray is passed over the chemical solution in turn it changed to a solid component. The initial step for this method is to produce the prototype, passing the UV on the prototype to get the stamp of the LED. Using the stamp produce lot of LED in a quicker time. This is very efficient process than the electron beam process.
Merits of LED:
One single light emitting diode can replace the 1400 ordinary bulbs but the energy needed is very large. Comparing with the ordinary light it consumes 20% less energy, so those energy are save for the government. The durability of the LED is also high compared with the ordinary streetlights, because a normal LED can withstand about four years. If you use the ordinary light then it should be replacing for every 2 years but if you use the light emitting diode it is consistent for the four years. So using the light emitting diode also reduces the labor cost.
