An overview video of soldering tools

This is nice video overview of the tools required to do soldering on the workbench. A solder station with wet sponge, flux core 60/40 solder, solder sucker, wire and wire strip tools.

Soldering SMD 0805 Capacitor video

This video demonstrates how to solder 0805 capacitor or resistor.

Soldering a SSOP-28 IC Video

The IC is a FT232RL from http://www.ftdichip.com/. It is a USB to Uart converter.

Soldering a 16 pin SO-16 or SOIC IC Video

Soldering a 16 pin SO-16 or SOIC IC Video demonstration. Wear anti-static wristband while doing this ;) . The chip being soldered is a DS1805 digital potentiometer from www.maximic.com

Surface mount soldering of a SOT-23 transistor video

Surface mount soldering of a SOT-23 transistor.

Ease way to desolder SMD

Today I came across this video in http://video.google.com. The guy Thomas Pfeifer solved the problem how to desolder SMD elements from old boards using iron and tweezers. Not everyone has hot air solder stations. So this method might be helpful for many of hobbyists. I bet in some cases this should be good method to solder BGA packages. Did anyone try this?

Binary watch with LED matrix display

This is a simple project. The guy managed to make 01/\/atch binary wrist watch with an LED display.  Additional features are accessible through a scrolling menu system on its 3×4 LED matrix. Watch also include: voltage meter, binary counter, club mode and time display.

AVR 3D engine on Nokia 6100 Display

As Monday is laziest day of the week I suggest you another Video.

Thomas Pfeifer has managed to AVR 3D engine on Nokia 6100 Display. He used ATMega8 microcontroller to run his tests. For code compilation he used AVR-GCC compiler.

First shot of electronics training videos in my posts

I just added new feature to my site. I can now add electronics training videos from YouTube and Google Video to my posts. Ill be glad to share my findings with you.

The first video I found interesting and enjoyable is about Using a 68HC11 and an MC3479 to control a bipolar stepper motor . The guy so called PapaJames has created a series of simple videos showing stuff related to electronics.
